Patrick C. Kibbie is a director and stage actor.

Patrick C. Kibbie is a director and stage actor from Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated with Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, in Performing Arts with an Acting/Directing emphasis from Weber State University, and just graduated from the East 15 Acting School in London where he is earned an MFA in Theatre Directing.

But much like a good production, Patrick’s path to a formal theater education took a few twists and turns.

Patrick started his education at Westminster College in 1995, where he pursued a degree in Communications and Art with a minor in Theatre. Despite a long love affair with the arts, Patrick decided to follow a more practical path with a career in journalism. A steady career with a steady paycheck seemed like the “adult” thing to do.

After graduating from Westminster College, Cum Laude, Patrick moved to Boston, Mass. to continue his education at Boston University, earning a Master’s Degree in Print Journalism in 2004.

After 12 successful years working in the field of journalism and communications (while acting and directing in his spare time) Patrick’s life and perspective changed when his father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Four months later, Patrick’s father passed away, leaving him with a gaping hole in his heart and a greater understanding that life should not be squandered on practicalities, It was then that Patrick decided to follow his greatest passion—the theatre.

After much consideration and speaking to many mentors, Patrick enrolled at Weber State University to pursue a degree in performing arts. Starting life over at 40 was not an easy decision, but he has thrived in the college atmosphere, maintaining a 4.0 cumulative grade point average, and consistently performing every semester.

Patrick has since graduated from the East 15 Acting School in London, where he earned an MFA in Theatre Directing.

Patrick has performed in and directed many productions, including classical plays, musicals, contemporary works, and devised theatre. He is enthusiastic, dedicated, and an incredibly hard worker, with many years of experience behind him, and the excitement of a less practical but more fulfilling life ahead.
